Hi, I just found this on Head-Fi: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/bang-olufsen-a8-mod-343057/ Maybe someone remembers, I had problems with having almost no Bass when listening to my A8's. I have very narrow ear canals so most earphones won't fit properly -> less isolation -> less bass Now I tuned my A8's like the person in the Head-Fi thread suggested and guess what, it works!

Re: How to tune A8 Earphones
While this looks like a joke, I can see how that makes a huge difference. I have the Shure EC2 or 3, I actually don't even know. They don't fit and I have no mid or bass so I never use them. I tried the different add ons, but somehow no luck. My A8 though, if I push them into the right position work very well and are my day in day out earplugs at work. JK

Re: How to tune A8 Earphones
You're right, you know. That does work nicely! I use my A8s for on-road cycling. The Shure SE-310s are a little too good at cancelling traffic noise!!! PS - anyone have a glut of A8 foam covers they'd care to gift away part of?!

My dealer gives them to me for free. I do ask politely

Re: How to tune A8 Earphones
I tried this today with mine being modified and my wifes not, i have to say after chopping and changing between the two pairs and listening to the same music track, i couldn't hear the difference.
On a different note, we were charged £2.50 for some replacement foam covers today
A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

Re: How to tune A8 Earphones
Now we have decided to buy a Beovision 8, as silly as it sounds we will choose our store carefully
And after a bit of fiddling i have changed my mind, it does work.
