Please help me, i want to connect my beolab 3 speakers to my amp.....

i have looked all over the net for a way to do this but with no joy.

I received them just as they are with no cables, i understand about the mark 3 cable etc.

What i want to do is connect them to my amp, is this possible, is there a wire to connect them to speaker terminals?

    Many thanks.

They have an Amp integrated, so you need to look for a regulated line out on your amplifier.

Most likely (if it has that at all) that would require a cinch connection.

While powerlink to 3.5mm stereo are quite frequent and available on ebay, powerlink to cinch I havent seen but you could get that with another adapter inbetween.

I would ask my dealer, he can probably supply you with one.

There is a good chance though, that your amplifier may not offer a regulated line out ... what is that model?

A model number would be helpful, not all amplifiers have variable line-level (called pre-amp) outputs, although virtually all have line outs intended for use with a tape player/CD recorder, but these must not be used as they run at full volume all the time!

The cables are called PowerLink to Line adapters or cables I believe. I used a pair with BeoLab 3s to connect to the pre-outs of one of my Rotels and they work well. The RA-02 has a set of pre-outs (in fact it's an exceptionally well specced amp) which are perfect for driving your BeoLab 3s.

Alex i have had a look on the internet, i found this cable....

     http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120290979835&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=002

Now, when i look at it it has the two rca points at then end. Off the top of my head, would i need to get two of these as im running two speakers, and connect just the one point on each of the cable?

     Cheers.

If you get the cable in your link, you will also need a Powerlink splitter as you cannot diasychain BL3's according to the manual.

Was thinking of the pre-outs on my rotel RA-02 like alex said, these cables look like they would do the job? One for the right speaker in to "right pre out" and the other to go into the "left pre out".

    What do you guys think?

    Cheers.

Yes, they seem to be perfect for the job. As you correctly say, one for the left and one for the right.

    Fantastic!

Thanks to all who helped me out on this, you lot are very welcoming to a newbie such as myself with b & o products.....

I shall get to purchasing this cable asap. Im currently running sansui s-915's, which are perfect, these should compliment my setup nicely.

    Thanks!
