Been ripping the 10 CDs we gave each other for Christmas, but we have not started listening yet - fabric selector's are David Hobson (unknown to Apple, and uploaded into iCloud) and Kathryn Jenkins.

Mine are a fine collection of jazz, mainly in the French style but also a Hayley Westerna.

But listening wise lots of Erin Bode ... bought three of her digital albums from iTunes ... love her rendition of "The Pines" which in the new speaker set-up had deeper base than we had realised before (that is from a CD rip).

Yesterday I was listening to my latest Madeline Peyroux (Standing On The Rooftop) but I was disappointed in the content of the verses - so I switched back to lovely Erin Bode 

Rocking my but of, incredible, newly renovated BM 4000, S45s 2 way, and BLONDIE, never heard that so good, Onkyo go back to storage.

As I play it at high level my nighbour will soon drop in for a drink and wants for more.

Union city blue, what a stomp, the bass comes out even in my simple S45s, feel like dancing.

I should go working on my BM 2400, after the BM 4000, I have to do that one better, there is so much sound difference that the 2400 must have something wrong in it.

But I keep on rocking, I just have to listen, listen, and enjoy, going listen to all my rocking babes, Blondie, Suzi Q, Jennifer Rush, Bonnie Tylor, and the good old Brenda Lee.

I had a very enjoyable time browing many of the youtube recordings - I guess for me I preferred the ones with scenery of Africa (being form South Africa myself), and I wondered if you spotted the one which is the original (lost) studio recording (poor quality) that has visuals of her signing and was particularly rich in tones compared to some of the other transcriptions

Jamie Cullum - Persuit. Recently aquired on vinyl. Great album but would have been happy to sacrifice a bit of that 'enhanced' quality and have the album on a single 33 disk as opposed to two 45 12" disks!

Mexican today, Album bought 1986 on my first ever visit to Mexico, stil just one nick on the second trac on the A side, as it is Mexican it craves a Tequila and a Modelo Negra. Salud

I fully agree 100%, Søren. The reason why I buy downloads is because of all the iTunes gift cards I receive over the holidays I can't complain.

The money I save on these tunes will be put towards my Beo restoration projects and maybe a new DAC for my BeoGram 4500CD

Plus, the tunes are going through a pair of Altec Lansings at the moment - no harm done
