Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Søren Mexico:
Eugene: Talk about rough. Try wakin up next to this. Alicia Bridges in her "prime". There aint enough air brushing or Avon or Mary Kay thats gonna fix that.
You'r the expert Eugene, you can do it.
Your avatar is changing, how will she look next time
Now Soren you have been around long enough to know some things just cant be fixed.

Current primary listening: SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
It's What I want - Royksopp... from a playlist with the likes of Robyn, Marsmobil, Bonobo, Younger Brother etc...... Has a nice smooth electro/psyche groove that I like when I spin fire on Tuesday nights during the summer months.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
When you're visiting Iowa and Wisconsin on business, and you stop in the used record store you discovered a few months ago, and you find a good copy of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" for only $4, and you went to college in the 80's, well, you have to buy it, and well, when you get back home, you have to listen to it at least once.
Everyone, all together:
"Relax, don't do it..."
Current primary listening: SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Today is the first day i have been able to wire up our Beolab 2, 8000 and 6000's all together through our Beovision 7-40 Mk3.
I waited for the Royal Mail to deliver my Ebay sourced Blade Runner CD. Put it in and then sat back and absorbed the fantastic opening track with minute 1.10 being the start of things to come.
A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Evan:
Since I have no vinyl and no pretty artwork to show I figured I would try a substitute, so here are a few of this afernoon's selections. All being piped through my Form-2s
Just taking it easy here, lounging around this sunny afternoon
Get a job AND a turntable, you slacker!
Current primary listening: SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

Or two, or three, or four, or I guess in my case now, FIVE.
Turntables, that is.
Just kidding around of course. Jealous that I have to be stuck here pretending to work, when I could be home jamming with my newly, professionally repaired BM4000.
Current primary listening: SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

I have work this evening!! Promise! LOL
Wow, building up quite a collection Rich! Well done bud.
I am genuinely glad to hear your 4000 is home safe and sound. I wish I could say my 3000 was up and running, but my project has been halted due to parts shortages......

on this brutally hot and humid afternoon I am listening to the vogue years compilation CD of Francoise Hardy on my CD50. Damn I just really like the sound those goofy contrivances produce.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
This week I using a random fill of my iPod for my daily commute and I rediscovered Dawn:
strange listening to her "Elvator Music" while walking down the street
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Yesterday I just had to put on Joe Cocker, and agree to the above.
Today I'm listening to Amy W. A great voice that went the same way as a lot other artists that "couldn't handle it"

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
The record which was played the most in my house growing up was Bill Cosby's "Why Is There Air?" My parents' copy of the record was lost between their divorce and the sale of the house, but I found a poor condition copy in San Francisco in 1990 for $2.00. I've had that copy ever since.
Two years ago I found a still-sealed copy in Marietta, Georgia at an antiques mall for $6. Alas, I sent it to my sister - still sealed - as a Christmas gift.
I finally have a near mint copy courtesy of an Ebay auction lot of four Bill Cosby records I purchased of $9.99.
BEST. COMEDY. RECORD. EVAR.
Current primary listening: SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70
