    Søren Mexico:

    Rich, please dont post pics of these speakers anymore, if my wife sees it, I'm in trouble.Sad

    With apologies to Soren, breaking in refoamed woofers of Beovox CX 50 with Robert Plant's Principle of Moments.  Because, you know, I'm always in the mood for a melody.

    Current primary listening:  SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

    Such frets must have a name, "The Eyes of the Hurrycanes", are you going to change the fabric on the CX 50s as well ?

    That depends on where they end up.  Right now, I have no plans to use them myself, so I left the frets/grills alone.  When they find a home, we'll figure that out.

    Maybe she will approve these frets instead.

    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

    The wife likes the cloth, but not against the green wall.

    This is interesting, because she does not like my S45-2s.  I think my S45-2s would look right at home with those RLs (behind the fretless S40 in the foreground).  (They are RLs, yes?)

    They were originally fretted to mount against a yellow wall... but I change things around here often,  but they do match the frets on the CX-100's , and that completes the set.

    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

    One must complete the set.

    Which is why I just bought a Beocord 2400 (with little or no intention of ever actually using it).  [:'(]

    It's my own fault ... but post the Australian Mother's Day ... David Hobson and Katherine Jenkins non-stop Laughing

    First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

    Latest addition - I don't know why - guess it's just the sickness.  Because it doesn't even complete the set.  I guess I need to get a Beogram 2400 to complete the set.

    Anyway, Elvis Presley's "A Big Hunk of Love" on a Billboard compilation cassette.

    Current primary listening:  SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

    Yes it does, but I am native Hoosier so my loyalties are with IU and Notre Dame.

    My niece graduated from Purdue back in 2008 and I think my dad may have got his Masters in Civil Engineering there as well back in the late 50's.

    Things aint been the same since Gene Keady hung it up. I miss the comb over and his troweled up wife. I bet Mary Kay made a fortune off her.

    Ya know Jaff's a Boilermaker, right?  And I'm a Wolverine.

    Gene Keady's comb-over had nothing on Bill Frieder's "ain't been washed in decades" hair.

    So I find out today the Fabric Selector has been holding out on me.  Little did I know but there had been at least 27 cassettes in the house all along - including a mix tape from a past boyfriend!  Surprise

    Currently listening to Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Side 2 on the BC 2400 after listening to Side 1 on the BC 4500.  I totally dig the old school piano key operation of the 2400.

    I got the hi-fi bug (not to be confused with the Beovirus) in about 1985 at age 19.  Back then in the U.S.A., the big discussion was whether Akai or Teac open reel recorders were best.  Always thought I'd one day own an open reel recorder, but I never did find one I wanted.  Maybe some day a B&O open reel will be required to complete the set and I'll take the plunge.
