    Mumford & Sons

    Sigh No More

Not really sure how to classify it. Very warm bass, mostly due to the fact that its not electric! Good old fashioned singing, that's for sure.

    Yes - thumbs up

I had never heard of these guys but found that on Spotify. I like it Smile

After that... Between A Laugh And A Tear, John Cougar Mellencamp; another one of my precious albums bought new in the mid-80s

Sigh No More is definitely great, but probably my least favorite song on the album. If you really want to crank, Little Lion Man, The Cave, and Dust Bowl Dance will certainly do it for you!

Now you got me listening to Mellencamp! Yes - thumbs up

Actually You hear The Cave quite often on the Radio stations in Holland. In fact listening to it right now Smile

Yes, that's the one that got them famous. I originally heard it on BBC Radio 1 over XM quite a while ago. I remember pulling over to write the song title down!

I have listening this weekend to ... a received birthday gift:

and also exploring Jazz based on three recommendations from a friend ... so I purchased the CDs containing the recommended pieces, plus a few others based on recommendations of the store:

Also download from Last.FM 3 free songs, see if you like this up and coming artist:

And of course, the free iTunes song of the week ... which is a very hit and miss affair !

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Currently listening to an album from the '70's by Brett Marvin and the Thunderbirds - bit repetitive however one track is interesting - I'll try to upload the piece tomorrow!

I was not sure you technically could so I have tried adding an MP3 of me saying "testing 1 2 3" but the playback is silent so I stuffed up something (lol)

A real MP3 would of course run to megabytes that may start creating capacity issues on the Beoworld servers :-(

It also might create copyright issues for Beoworld ?

I suggest using a file sharing site and post the link to it ?

Hippies, the bay area, psychedelics, the "Dead"  makes me wish It was the mid 80's all over again. I should never have moved back to the midwest.

But I am probably better off because I did.

An original pressing of a Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond live performance from 1954 as I recall on the Fantasy label.

    A closer view

Probably not the easiest Brubeck LP to find.

    Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Richard, you have inspired me! I went and grabbed a decent camera and snapped my CD albums Big Smile
Last night I had family and friends over, visiting from out of town, so I thought it would be great to entertain them with a concert on DVD. I picked up Jason Mraz's Live On Earth concert and recreated it right here in my basement! Once the family had become bored with it and left, I cranked ithe volume right up into the 80s of the scale and the Labs sang all night Cool
On the right is the Miike Snow cover I mentioned earlier.
Not sure why my text is centered by the way... can't seem to figure out a remedy either.
