Arc of Time - Bright Eyes Maroon 5 - I don't mind their songs, even if they are a bit overly poppy/cheesy. It's just that they've been very overplayed. And this is post war between me and Henry at the moment!

Amy Winehouse which has here in the US the "Rehab" song in the chart, interesting CD.

The Pogues, "If I should fall from grace with God". I love this band. The "Spanglish" of Fiesta is really funny.

An excellent follow-up to last summers' "We Are Your Friends" with Simian Mobile Disco (aka Simian).

That's a great piece of music. Still, that 'reggae sound' is Bob Marley to me, or maybe Toots & The Maytals. I just find everything else a little bit disappointing in comparison.

At the moment - You Make Loving Fun by Fleetwood Mac. Listening to the whole of Rumours, one of my favourite albums.

In fact it's my absolute number 1 hifi test album as well! I know the recordings and songs so well, and what sweet music and recordings to get to know!

"The Wanderer" Johnny Cash & U2. Great song and perfect to test bass.

For stupid bass, the ONLY test track there is has got to be LFO by LFO. For well controlled and detailed bass, Fleetwood Mac

At the moment, track 14 off The Campfire Headphase by Boards of Canada. Still in bed at noon! God I love the 'summer' holidays.

I was just rolling through the forum and Classic FM  is on in the dining room (Beovox S30s)
They were playing Chaconne In G Minor by Tomaso Antonio Vitali Soloist: Sarah Chang Conductor: Jun Markl  English Chamber Orchestra It was absolutely awe inspiring! I had to go in the lounge and listen on my big speakers.

I'm off to dig out my copy on the strength of this, In the meantime I'll whack on Morrissey's "Your Arsenal" on virgin vinyl - see if I can find it before side 1 finishes. I just love the track "You're the one for me fatty" from this album - probably why the Mrs married me - as we say up 't North, built for comfort - not speed
