Did not realise that my Lab5's were at volume 68, glad I live in the middle of nowhere.

I have finally gotten Death Magnetic by Metallica.

I got no problems with the sound quality exept I think the guitar sounds are a bit to sharp. For once the drums sounds good.

The Beosystem 6500 with an extra Beocord 5500 and white Beovox S80.2 sounds pretty good.

Bang & Olufsen produced 1.  product based on a Thorens vinyl deck - Beogram 3000. Beogram 3000 was designed with Thorens tD 124 MKII - a true classic.

Right now I am listening to a Thorens vinyl record or more precise 3 records. This is released as a memory of Thorens 125th anniversary. This a 180 gram Vinyl LP in extreamly high quality.

.... and the music is so beatifull  - of course I am plying on the real thing:

I have a Beogram 3000 Acoustical thanks to Peter. Doubt if I will be able to afford a Thorens 3000 in the near future, but maybe one day.....

I am just getting ready to start a CX-100 restoration project. Next week. Did you use the "new" rubber surrounds available or stay with foam ?

Wow and Flutter - Stereolab from my iPod plugged into a BM2400 output to a pair of rebuilt RL60.2 and a pair of rebuilt CX-100.

I got foam surrounds from Good Hifi. Worked out pretty good, although the pair of CX50s I did at the same time sounded a bit disappointing. The new surrounds feel a bit hard so I guess they will only get better with more play (see the discussion here).

I believe original style would sound closest to original, the only thing I worry about foam (vs rubber) is that what are we going to do when the new surrounds are gone in 10+ years? I guess it will be quite hard to clean the cones another time, depending on the glue of course...

One of my favourite all time albums Mika - you've just tempted me into giving it yet another airing.

Giving it some major volume through my BS5500 & refurbished MC120.2's - stunningly good.
