Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
KingStreet: Craig: Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. Listening to downloaded copy on my PC at the moment although I do have the original on vinyl. Craig
Craig - Do you know Seventh Son of a Seventh Son by the late great Rory Gallagher - from his early 70's album, Blueprint ? not too similar to the Maiden song - but one of my all time favourites - heard it on tape in a scout tent in Whitby when I was 11 - hooked ever since...7quid for cd in Fopp - recommended.
No I don't Dave, but I will check it out. Listening to a bit of Martin Simpson at the moment in preperation for the event of the year. Craig

Not for me I'm afraid - it was recorded during one of Rick's many absenses and has that Moraz chap instead

Of the three times I've been to see them, the best was when Wakeman was with them.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Been having a bit of a tidy up (I've put away the shovel & wheelbarrow for tonight) and found Coldplay's "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" album. Forgotten how good it was. Got it thumping through my Penta's via System 7000 loverly Chris.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Just had an hour lying on the floor looking at the ceiling and listening to my wonderful Beovox 5000/2500 on very loud! Amongst the tracks I'd put on the MP3 player was Eva Cassidy's "Some where over the rainbow", and Enya's "Marble Halls" Positively brought tears to mine eyes! I love my Beolab 5000 amp. Thanks Casdave.

That really is a very emotional song, sung by a very lovely, clear voice. Do you have the entire album? If not, you should try to find Cassidy's version of "Fields of Gold". Great singer, bud it is a pitty that she died so young!

Been listening to Simply Red's Stars album this evening - my parents used to play it to me when I was younger, and I haven't heard it in years...

What prompted me to listen to the album again!
Right now I'm listening to the 'final' mixes of a local band I did some production/recording work for. Don't think it needs any more work thankfully...

My 'standard hifi test' album - excellently recorded, mixed and produced. Most importantly - excellent musicians performing excellent songs. A classic.

When I went away to college (A long time ago!) there were three albums that almost everyone seemed to own. Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, Lou Reed's Transformer and Wish you were Here by Pink Floyd. They're all still sounding good a quarter of a century on! Simon

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Bought Transformer on vinyl a month ago - excellent album. I have both Rumours and Wish You Were here on CD and vinyl - both in fantastic condition too.
Right now I'm listening to the sound of my A level composition from Logic - finished the whole recording this evening and I just need to do a proper mixdown.

It would be between Stars and Picture Book as my favourite - I don't like their others, very average IMO.
Currently listening to Galaxy by Hippiehaus from Hôtel Costes 5. Brilliant compilation...
