    Re: Beoport and Beosystem 2300

Hi there. It could be possible to have it on an auxiliary port but definetely there is no chance to have control of Beoport from the 2300. This chance you only have from 3000 and onwards.

But if I'm correct on this!!!!!!!!!!

    Best regards

    Re: Beoport and Beosystem 2300

The connectivity might be there, but what would I be able to use the Beoport for if I can't control it from the 2300. Correct me anyone if I'm wrong. My understanding of the Beoport is that it would allow me to link my 2300 to my PC. therefore I can access any audio media that is contained on my PC. How do I actually access these things on my PC???  Maybe my problem is that I don't really understand how the Beoport works with my 2300 and my PC. Any ideas.....Anyone

    Thanks,

    Andro

Ok! First of all you have to install the newest software downloaded from B&O Official site.

Secondly, and after you have installed the software (remember not to connect the PC2/Beoport to USB prior to the installation because it is a problem) you can make the configuration of Beoport where you can add the radio function of the BC2300.

Note that it will not be possible to listen to your n.music from the Beoport by pressing the N.Music button or anything else. You can do it the other way around.

Umfortunately some B&O product are not upgradeable thus you have to find a fair solution to either upgrade to a newer BS or use it separately.

    Best regards

    Re: Beoport and Beosystem 2300

Actually I was quite content using the 2300 as a stand alone, but someone suggested that I could build on it. I already have a "Bose" surround sound that I use for my home theater. This purchase was more for the fact that since I was a teenager, I have always been my dream to own this particular model because I was so taken by the "simplicity" but commanding look of the Bang & Olufsen. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain it to me..Just having the 2300 is enough for me, but I don't plan on upgrading to a newer B&O. I just want to work with what I have.. Thanks again
