    Huh? [:^)] Non B & O TV on a link?

HI, I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times but I have a need to ask, is there a way of putting a non B&O Tv on to a link without tieing up both the ML and coax links?  What I mean is when your watching TV, DTV or V.AUX your not also using the ML for sound?  I have tried a Lintronic box with a passive kit but this ties up both ML and coax links.  Any ideas?

    Hi Mull!

If you have a link speaker in the same room you can do it by running a coax feed from a B&O tv into the non B&O set and tuning into the link frequency. You would have to use the link speaker for sound and video control. You could use a coax splitter to keep the aerial input on the TV free. Obviously you would have full control of all video sources through the link speaker but it would have to be placed in a reasonable position so the tv didnt sound odd (if that makes sense!).

    Hope this helps,

    Llewelyn

Reading back, I don't fully understand why you wouldn't want to tie up the ML. Why would you want to listen to an audio source whilst watching TV? Erm

    :)

As far as I know there is no way you can do it. I suppose if you were feeling very creative and you already had a link product in the room you could use a passive (or active) extra speaker kit and option program the link speaker to option 4 and the extra speaker kit to option 1 (from memory). This would be long winded and in my opinion pointless though!

    Re: Non B & O TV on a link?

Basically I want to have all my products in the house on the on beo4.  The house has a beovision 4-50 with systsem 3, beovis 4-37 with a beosys 2 and a beocentre 2 as the dvd and audio master but I wanted a mirror tv for the living room and B&O don't do one yet.  I have a pair of beovox 1 in the living room to bring the audio in so I have tried to use a lintronic unit to get control of the tv with a beo 4 but when I do this my wife can not listen to the radio in the kitchen or in the bedroom as when she calls radio or cd it changes the source playing on the mirror tv.  I know there was Video link kits but I'm not sure whether this will do what I'm looking for either.

I'm with you now! I thought you meant that you wanted to listen to two different sources in the same room. How about re jigging the ML and splitting the link into two different areas? Have you sought advice from your dealer at all?
