N.MUSIC when using BS9000 aux port for a turntable

I have a concern that this senario may cause problems and I would like to buy a beoport.

Main room: BV7MKII, BS9000MKII with BG4500 connected to the aux port. Lots connected to the BV7 as well...

    Various equipemnt in link rooms.

If I connect a beoport in the same room will I still be able to select the Turntable and play records? The Beo4 commands PHONO, N.MUSIC, A.AUX are the same from memory. So how would I select either digital music from the beoport or vinyl as they are seperate sources? If it does work would I have problems in the link rooms?  I do need an N.MUSIC upgrade for the BS9000 in any case.

    Hope I explained that well...

    Thanks, Beoaus.

Re: N.MUSIC when using BS9000 aux port for a turntable

If your BS 9000 MKII has the N.MUSIC upgrade everything should work. PHONO, N.MUSIC, A.AUX are not the same commandes. PHONO changed to N.RADIO, TAPE 2 to N.MUSIC and SHIFT RADIO to A.AUX. So there might be a conflict between PHONO and N.RADIO. But if I remember correctly you can`t control the BG 4500 via BS 9000, because there is no datalink on the AUX port. So pressing N.RADIO will start your Beoport, not the turntable.

Don't need to control the turntable just select it...So that seems ok.  PHONO and N.RADIO sounds like a problem though. I wonder what would happen, would I just have to turn beoport off to use the turntable?

    Thanks Beoaus.

You select the Beogram by pressing A.AUX (or A.MEM), because this will open the BS 9000 port. With N.RADIO (PHONO) you will control your Beoport, the BG will not react to these commands.

    So no problem.
