    Dave,

Give the service centre in Adelaide, (I'm not sure who is there now) a quick call. they should be able to help.  Or try Luke in the Sydney service centre or Gavin or Paul in the Melbourne Service centre.

You may need the serial numbers... Both on the Beolab 8000's (occasionally they are different)

Not sure of the answer re power - when I lived in the USA and took my B&O system I simply bought a transformer for those units that could not be switched separately.

My main concern is that too many scammers are now offering Beolab 8000s - be careful to check it is genuine.  Some 8000s supposedly form the US show pictures with a UK plug at the wall.

Thanks for the help! I think i'm going to stay away from US electrical products, even if it's dirt cheap, too stressful, and i'd only ever do an overseas purchase with paypal

Dave, when I buy expensive things, I prefer to see the product before buying. Once a guy from Ottawa (200km drive from Montreal) told me that his Penta was cosmetically perfect and when I saw them I was just close to have an infarct! I lose my time driving for nothing! There were plenty of scratchs and dings....
