I ordered my BeoWorld mugs, coasters and mouse mat yesterday afternoon and they have just arrived. A big thank you to Lee for getting these out so quick. I'm made up with them so much so here is a picture of my first coffee of the morning. I think this is a great way to support the site and show some appreciation for the work that has been done. Greg

Andy You've found me out. I have a website www.rochdale-weather.co.uk which my weather station connects to and updates. A bit of a sad hobby, but I like to think I'm in to home automation and having this allows me to trigger events on my home automation "system" for example, if it's too windy shut down the garden water features, if it's been x degrees for over x hours then switch on the irrigation. Sounds grand but its all been done on a shoe string. Greg

Ha ha. You're not alone, Greg. I have a wireless weather station. The display sits on my coffee table. It shows wind speed, precipitation, humidity, temp, rainfall mm etc. Unfortunately the outside temp is broke so I'm considering buying a new, better one. While in Struer I visited Frede and noticed that he had a weather station too. I wonder if it's a B&O thing to have a weather station? Great weather site by the way! How do you think I rumbled you? Andy T.

How was I rumbled? Not really sure, If you look at the properties of the photo you can see the url where it is located and I placed the picture on my weather station site. Is that how? I use Weather Display along with Weather Display Live as the software for my 1-wire weather station. Which wireless station do you have? Greg

tom: I just wanted to order a Beoworld Pen, but just before paying, I noticed that I would have heen charged 15 € for delivery; double the price of the pen. I think I will wait till I win one...
You are correct there Tom. It's something i chose to live with, and here is the reason... (i will hide nothing!) To build in a custom payment system that calculates shipping according to individual items, weights, and combinations would have cost around another £800. This would have meant the Gift Shop having its own CMS system that was custom written to work with BeoWorld. Seeing as the average profit for BeoWorld is about £2 per item, it would have taken FOUR HUNDRED sales just to break even. so, it was decided that we would try and work out an average shipping price, and to do this we added the shipping cost of the heaviest item (mug or long sleeve polo) and the lightest item (pen) and divided it by two. We didn't expect massive sales of merchandise, and were hugely over budget, so opted for this method for the time being. Once all the loans are paid off, and BeoWorld is in the clear, i will spend every extra penny on improving elements such as this. However, in the meantime, anyone that pays the ludicrous shipping charge on the pen will get an Open Mind CD thrown in. I bought 2 boxes of them from a closed down dealer, and still have just over a box left! Sound fair? Lee

After reading jacobyte's post here I have to ask if you really hate selling pens...
I ordered a pen. I remember that post. As I heard the "This is different" CD, I don't suspect the "Open mind" to be much better. But I didn't order the pen to get the CD (though I sure welcome it), but to help Beoworld...

I received a couple of days ago my Beoworld T shirt (sky / navy) and I am very pleased of it! It is made with a beautiful quality and very nicely finished. An extra gift accompanied the T-shirt: an exemplar of Open Mind vol.3 CD! Many thanks, Lee for this very pleasant surprise! I am currently listening to it on a Beosystem 4500 / Beolab 5000… Great!!! Marc

I only have 3 or 4 of these CD's left now. I got a couple of boxes from a closed down dealer, along with a fistful of the Martin Taylor CD's.
Happy to give them away with gift shop orders, so hurry!
Lee
