Troubles connecting an external DVD player to Beovision 6-26

I have tried connecting my DVD player to my Beovision 6-26 TV, but it doesn't seem to work. When I try to switch to the V-AUX channel, I only get a black screen, and when I go to AV on the "list" on the remote and push "GO" nothing happens. My DVD player is connected through a SCART cable, and it's working just fine on my old TV.

     Any help would be lovely

     Cheers

Did  you assign the V.Aux to the Scart input the player is connected to?

    21 pin Scart cable?

Under the 'Connections' menu, you must assign the socket your DVD player is connected to to a button on your remote.

The 'AV' function isn't for enabling a scart input, it allows you to listen to a B&O sound system through the TV's speakers at the same time as watching something else.
