How to activate BeoMedia 1 on BeoCenter 6-23 with a BEO5

BEO5 has been successfully programmed to activate my BeoMedia 1 on the master TV (ie a BV 7-40) and on one slave TV (ie a BV 7-32), but not on slave BeoCenter 6-23, where the hit of the BeoMedia 1 icon does not result in anything.

Does anyone know why and how to program BEO5 to activate BeoMedia 1 on BC 6-23? Note that BeoMedia 1 can be easily activated on BeoCenter 6-23 with BEO4 using the classic L-PC command.

    Thanks.

    Hi once more,

the command you need should be: 1:000:TV:PC. It`s the same as L-PC on Beo4.

Yes but wouldn't be easier if he had the V.Aux on the Zone with the TV in?

As far as I know Beomedia1 works with the V.Aux (This is how I work with it too!!)

    Best regards

The V.AUX command should be used for BM1 in connection to older Beovisions, that don`t understand the PC command.

You will need an extra IR eye connected to the BM1, so it is not possible to control BM1 in linkrooms.

    Correct me if I´m wrong....

    Yes you are right.

However it is possible nowadays to transfer the ir sigan through a certain modulator and have the control of BM1 controled by a link room.

To give you and example, I have my BM1 in the Attic and through a modulator I can already watch the BM1 in my living room or bedroom. However the  disadantage on this is that I can only watch through a dedicated chanel and not through VAUX. The commands do not go through the TVs but through the modulators ir eye. It does work but of course I'm not very happy with the resolution!!!!!

    Best regards

Ok. Thanks for the info. I never heard of this modulator before. Is it from B&O? Do you need one modulator for all linkrooms and for every linkroom an extra ir eye? How do you connect it?

    Thanks again

Re: How to activate BeoMedia 1 on BeoCenter 6-23 with a BEO5

    Hi Stefan.

This modulator is available from almost everywhere and it is not B&O. Actually I have connected the Beomedia1 on the modulator and the modulator distributes the signal through the house BUT since I have already linked my house with separate cables so that from the master TV I can watch everything. Their eye is the one of the modulator and handles all the commands.

Actually the ir transmiter is infront of the ir connected to the Beomedia. Be very careful though because not all ir eyes can distribute the B&O signals. You have to know the frequencies of Beo4 and check it with the frequncies of the ir eye.

    Hope this helps a bit!!!

    Best regards

    Spiros
