    Disassembly of Beo4

Hi, may this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything when searching.

How do I take my Beo4 apart? I have removed the 3 screws inside the battery compartement. What's next?

    /Peter

    Hi Peter!

Have you also removed the screw under the sticker at the lower end of the battery compartement?

Once all screws are removed the lower casing comes easely off. To remove the print, change the keyboard or the display you need to remove the nuts that keep the print and the upper plate together.

It's realy a very simple and straightforward job to take the Beo4 apart.

    cheers

    Re: Disassembly of Beo4

    Thank you,

It never occurred to me that there was one more screw.

It turned out that one of the nuts had fallen off its bolt. This was shortcircuiting the board when i pressed some keys. This explains why the screen would go blank.

Now it works like a charm.
