    Which SP is this?

    Hi All

Have had an email from a gentleman who would like to know which vintage B&O cartridge this is...  I am sure someone will know, and i will point him in the direction of this thread to hopefully find the answer!

It looks like either the SP6 or SP8 that was for non-Beogram decks; they're in the 1967 catalogue. Also looks like the pins have been bent to fit inside the cartridge shell more tidily.

    Cheers, Steve

This is the SP1 / SP2 pickup type

This is an 30dg. design for the early stereo cuttings at a time where the angel was not standard. Actually - it was B&O Mr. Rørbæk Madsen who propssed the first standard to be the later 15dg. which all later SP pickups were designed for (SP6/7 ----> )

This particular version is for a non B&O tonearm.

Of coarse B&O used the SP1/2 and the tonearm was also designed for the 30dg.- http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=911
