    Beomaster-5000/MCP-5000 Timer setting

    Hi,

I have a friend who activated the timer-function in his Beomaster-5000 using the MCP-5000, and now the set switches off after a few minutes.

He hasn't got a user-manual for the MCP and the manual for the Beomaster-5000 doesn't say anything about timer programming.

How to delete pre-set timers? A brief instruction would be fine (...a MCP user-manual even better Big Smile )

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    /tri-comp

Underneath 'Program', Press Step, then Clear. Repeat until 'No Input' is displayed on the panel.

It sounds more like a technical fault though with the amplifiers bias voltage. See if the fins at the rear of the unit get hot quickly once turned on. If so, there are a couple of potentiometers that need changing and resetting inside of the unit. This is a common problem with the Beomaster 5000, and easy to fix.

     Cheers

    Ben

Thanks; you're right. It didn't cure the problem so there's a fault of some kind.

Unfortunately the receiver is in Germany and I'm not Smile

I let the owner have your advice so we'll just have to wait and see.
