    Re: beoplayer 4.81

    I get a total freeze of the program at the end of the procedure of scanning my harddrive, just like with the previous one. This problem started a few months ago and it's persistant. It makes BeoPort unusable.

    I hoped that this version would fix it, but it doesn't.

    I'm still using version 4.5something, as all later versions freeze sooner or later on my PC. Have to admit that the computer is running 24/7, maybe this is the problem.

    Anyone else with similar symptoms?

    Haven't experienced a freeze to date; Are you using Internet Explorer ?

    The PC is in fact a server, so no local actions are performed. And yes IE is installed, but how does the browser influence Beoport? I only know that the B&O software uses Mediaplayer.

    No, I'm not using IE. But how could that be related?

    The new version doesn't see my BeoSound 2 in Vista :-( :-(

    The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

    Hallo Markus;

    Only brainstorming, but I do know of others that had a Beoport/Beoplayer problem by not using MS IE.

    Vista . . . the facts speak for themselves. What a turkey.

    Hello Swiss,

    ah, I see. Yes, Vista is a real pain in the a**. Now all my PC's are XP based again :-)

    I'm a little bit unsure if I should try to update.....

    Re: beoplayer 4.81

    I upgrade manually when threads from our helpful members appear,  such as this one.

    I download the newer version in My Downloads ( a file I created ) and just write over or upgrade the new version. Once it is launched, I reboot for both the latest Beoport and Beoplayer. It is supposed to be automatic, but it is a more clean upgrade, and old habits die hard.

    A few minutes to upload everything again, and it is finished. To date, no lost any photo, radio, or music files.
