    MX6000 with a sound fault

Hi Guys, I've only just joined today and have read many of the comments.

I am looking for info regarding this fault.

The set works fine, within 10-15 minutes of switch on, the sound begins to distort and stays that way. I've replaced a couple of electrlytics in the audio amp cct but don't have much experience with this fault. Any ideas or guidance please?

Is it only on tuner or with both SCARTs too?

Hello there, it's on all sources and that's why I went to the audio amp circuit. I noticed that you are the author of much feedback with the MX5500, do you think this fault may be due to capacitors in the power supply??

Have you checked the quality of the solder joints on the audio amp chips?  They are 9 pin devices mounted on the heatsink.
