Beovision 9 angle question
Does the angle of the Beovision 9 cause any problems viewing it long term? Does anybody with one wish the screen was vertical like all other TVs? We are thinking of getting a 9 but I am concerned after awhile we might not like viewing the screen at an angle.

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
I have the BV8 which has also the angle. It doesn't bother me at all. Not sure why they do that, if this is feature (to support the sound going into your face) or design element. JK

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
Thanks. I have always thought it was a design element. Anybody else have any thoughts/comments?

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
It's the correct angle to view a TV at, in much the same way a BeoVision 7 should ideally be viewed angled up in relation to the viewer very slightly...

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
So the idea is the viewer's eyes while sitting are slightly higher than the screen so as the viewer looks down slightly at it and the viewer is looking perpendicular to the screen?

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
Hello! I have never been annoyed by the angle of the screen on my BV5. When in front of the set, you don't notice it at all. I guess it might also be useful to avoid reflections on the screen. And when the set is off, it looks very smart. BV9 is also a good choice when it comes to wire-hiding. When you add all the wires which have to be connected to a TV set in a multi-sources surround setup, you easily get a dish of spaghettis behind your TV... ... and very limited possibilities to hide them with BV7. It's (and was) far easier with Avant, BV5 and BV9. Just my 2 cents. Have a nice week-end, Yann.

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
I have always appreciated how the Avant hides all of the wires. The inability to hide wires behind the 7 is a big concern with it as my wife and I try to decided between a 7 and a 9.

Re: Beovision 9 angle question
You are not the only one... Not so far ago, I went to visit my dealer and heared a lady saying that, if she had known how many wires were needed to connect all the setup, she wouldn't have let her husband buy a BV7. "All these wires ruin my living room", she said, and added "never again". When it comes to Home Theater, one must never forget the Woman Acceptance Factor... If it can help you in your choice. Yann.
