    Beocenter 9000 woes...

My 9000 isn't giing me the best time of late - recently a speakerlink socket at the back has been playing up. Occasionally it will work fine and then other times the speaker will be crackly or not working. Its definitely the socket at the rear of the 9000 - a common problem or any easy DIY fix? Or - now that the CD spring has packed up - is it time for the 9000 to go in a spares or repair ad on Ebay!! Really dont want to get rid of it to be honest!! May just leave it on the shelf to look pretty!!

    No no no Dave!
Don't get rid, it's probably an easy fix, may be just a dry solder joint.

    Poor me, never win owt!

If it's plugged into a Spk1 socket then your problem is probably the "Mute" relay which needs replacing.

Have you tried repeatedly switching the mute relay on and off lots of times? Worked on my BM 5000 when I had a similar problem.
