I have begun to rip my DVDs to my mac as VIDEO_TS folders.

I know some of you have also done this and play them back via VLC when using DVDPedia.

My problem is that I have ripped my Alien quadrilogy, and all four movies chrashes in the DVD root menu in VLC on both Mac and Win, but I then noticed that the build in DVDplayer in Tiger can playback VIDEO_TS folders and plays the Alien movies without a problem.

Has anyone experienced this and do you have any suggestions as it seems that the problem isn't with the ripped files??

The files have been ripped with mactheripper.
