    Beocenter 2500/Beosystem 2500???

What essentially is the difference between the two? Is one with speakers and one without?

Is it possible to connect passive speakers to the 2500 in any way??

The two systems are very similar, but the Beosystem 2500 has Beolab 2500 speakers and also Masterlink.

    The Beosystem connections are:-

    FM aerial, 75 ohm 1
    AM aerial (Dedicated) 1
Beocord Tape 2 Via Aux socket
Beogram LP (RIAA built-in) Via Aux socket
Beolab speakers 2 x Power Link
    Beovision Via AUX socket
Local rooms, speakers 2 Via MCL 2P
    Aux 7-pin socket
    Masterlink

    Regards Keith....

There is no difference. The beosystem is simply the beocenter with beolab 2500 speakers.

There is no masterlink in either product. The first masterlink product of this type was the Ouverture.

Yes but you need a Beolink passive to do this. Usually quite expensive but have been known to go for a fair price on ebay if you find a badly listed one.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

You are right Graham, not sure why I thought that the Beosystem 2500 had Masterlink....Beer

    Chris.

The brochure of Beosystem 2300 / 2500 also mentions the MCL2P for connecting other speakers.

    (ML/MCL-converter, used as MCL2P)
