Hi All Well, as you may know, most of the forum downtime was down to us running out of server space. So.. in response we had a little brainstorm behind the scenes, and one of the culprits was named as stored PM's. I had a look at my own... and i have 20 (yes - TWENTY) pages of PM's which are all taking up unnecessary space on the server, which is actually costing BeoWorld money to store.. I have deleted all but the most very recent, and ask you all to do the same to help BeoWorld. So - any chance of a mass clearout on ancient PM's? I would thank you all on behalf of BeoWorld if you could. Lee & the BeoWorld Moderating Team

Hi Lee, My problem is, I don't get PM's. Mailed you approx' a week ago re: How do I renew subscription? No reply! Also mailed Medogsfat 2 or 3 times last year & no reply. I'm wondering if something is amiss as both of you have been very prompt in replying before. Oh! I've discovered how to renew my subscription in the meantime. Hope to hear from you fairly soon. John

Do we really need to store the PMs on the website? I am getting an email anyway, maybe you can just reconfigure the software so that it just send emails but does not actually store the message. Cheers JK

Jandyt: 195! I'll sort them this afternoon, some of them have addresses and 'phone nubers in them, but about half of them are to and from Puncher as we sort Wednesday©s out. Andy T.
....... and there's me thinking we just made it up as we went along!!!

Done, I cleared both of them. On the other Fora I frequent they have a PM limit of 20. I would not mind a limit for us mere mortals where as you moderators could be unlimited. Just an idea. I also would be happy to send Beoworld another fiver if it would help you fine chaps.
Kind Regards
Toby
I better do my bit and suspend my siggy.

Yes Puncher. I bet most of our fellow Beoworlders wouldn't believe us when we told them how much work goes on behind the scenes, both at the Clitheroe Wednesday© offices and the Durham offices. How all our Wed© staff research all week, and the way they collaborate all the information in the correct order, so on the big night it appears to be just random blitherings. Here's to the Wed© staff
My researchers are on holiday this week and so I'm having to work trebley hard!! (they're also demanding a pay rise and paid overtime)! I'm now seriously considering making my own rubbish up and sacking the lot of them!!
