It's not a B&O design TV just a re-badged product? Thats also why there is no pin-code protection.

That's not quite correct is it, otherwise it wouldn't have Masterlink, Powerlink, PUC, Vision clear and Active speakers.

Let's be fair to the BV8. It works perfectly together with my Beosystem 6500 and a BeoLab 2000, with MasterLink - which means it is nicely integrated with B&O. It is also designed by David Lewis, and is uncompromising when it comes to the speaker bar, which is there to ensure better sound - this it delivers, true to the B&O ethos.

Which means it's a below the belt hit to say it's not a B&O product. Right now, I'm watching BBC in my home office, and probably my daughter is the one listening to the radio through the BeoLab 2000 in the kitchen, all on the same circuit, involving the above products - sounds like B&O to me.

That said. When I go into the menu, I find something called PLAY TIMER. This pleased me no end, until I found it doesn't do anything (if it does, please let me know what that is). However, I'm using the timer on the Beosystem 6500, and the BV8 responds excellently to that.

This is as it is so aggressively priced that everyone can afford and nobody has to steal one.

If it would be rebadged, it would also have more then one HDMI.

That said, I am enjoying mine a lot. I am watching the TV for hours and then turn it on now happens in my home too.

    BS9000, BS2300, BC2, BL2500, BL3, Bl2, BS1, BV8, BC4, A8

if you cut a hole on the backside you will see the other 6 hdmi connections.
