    BV-7 lock DVD tray

    Dear All,

I need your help I have a BV-7 MKI. My 2 years old son try to play with the DVD tray and put himself his DVD. I would like to lock the sensor which is used for opening the tray.
I try to do it by the SERVICE MENU (thanks to french Beoworld Forum) but I only this information appeas:

    72 IC400 SW 1.90
    REGION 3
    REGION INFO

It seems that from MK-2 the BV-7 gives this additional option:

    BLOCK SENSITOUCH

What can I do ? Is updating the BV-7 Firmware will help ?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Mat

    Re: BV-7 lock DVD tray

    Hello Mat,

Answered this one before, but it seems to have been lost during the server failure...

I do have a BV7-23 MK I (Type 9311) and had it updated some months ago. They "flashed" some SW into the BV through a Laptop and had some chips changed.

Now DVD service menu shows the "BLOCK SENSITOUCH" thing.

    monitor information says:

    AP SW 6.31

    IOP SW 22.0

    STB TABLE 3.3

    STAT DISP 1.0

Never recognized this feature as I don't have the need for it ;-)

    Greetings,

      hx

Another way to go, is to remove the alu plate. it's easy done, just pull down the surrounding black plastic, it just snapped on. then your still able to open the tray with a little metal thiny
