Please advise me BeoLab with the display
I would like to have display which must duplicate all information from the display of my BeoSound 3200. Unfortunately my bed-room is rather long and I can see nothing on the main display. For example BeoLab 3000/4500/5000 has 12 character matrix LED display. Will it be able to indicate the clock if I press LIST -> CLOCK -> OK on my Beo 4??? I would like to know the time in the middle of the night using this buttons combination very much. Does BeoLab 3000/4500/5000 work with BeoSound 3200? Is the ampifier of BeoLab 3000/4500/5000 stereo? What other alternative there are? Thanks!

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
In answer to your various questions:- - The Beolab 3000/4500/5000 speakers will work with the BeoSound 3200
- The 10 character matrix LED display on the Beolab 3000/4500/5000 will NOT display the clock, they will ONLY display volume with a number, source such as Radio and Track
I suggest you purchase a clock next to your bed or a clock which projects onto teh ceiling when you press the button.

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
But BeoLab 3500 indicate only the clock, does not it? If it can not display volume, source and track it is not a very good option. I see RIDAX can display the time even when unit in stand by: "If you want to see the time display even when unit is in stand by, you need to modify the PCB a little".
That's what is needed. Well, I would like it very much...

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
The default setting for the Beolab 3500 is to display the clock constantly in standby. When the unit is switched on it displays the source and track. If you adjust the volume then it will display the volume.

It's possible to change this option. Mine always shows the clock. When the speaker is turned on and when I change source it shows source and track for some seconds and then shows the clock again. The same goes when I change volume.

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
I consider it is a good feature of BL3500. But I have not any acceptable place where it can be hanged. There is a good place above the bed, but BL3500 will be over the head, So it will be difficult to see the clock, though... Well, I will think about it. Thanks!

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
You probably already know this, but just in case. The BeoLab 3500 can also be placed on a stand and looks surprisingly good on it. You can see it on their webpage.

Re: Please advise me BeoLab with the display
There are three (3) clock options on the Beolab 3500 - Option 2 -- When the Beolab 3500 is switched to standby, the display will show the time and the red standby light. The time indication remains on when the Beolab 3500 is playing, but whenever you operate the Beolab 3500 either with the buttons on the unit or by the remote control, the display will give a brief status of the operation.
- Option 0 -- No clock, in standby only the red standby light will be on. When playing, the status will be shown permanently. This option should be selected if you do not have a master unit which supports the clock.
- Option 1 -- I think this is the one most people will use. When in standby it shows the clock and the red standby, when playing, the status will be shown permanently.
Daniel: Keith Saunders: When the unit is switched on it displays the source and track. If you adjust the volume then it will display the volume.
