Not exactly my cup of tea too... But if some Russian is offering suitcases full of €€€ or $$$ to have such a 103" delivered.. Why not?

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

What I can see from the pictures is that, once again, B&O said they designed a new center loudspeaker to match a new TV, and it still doesn't!

BeoLab 7-1 doesn't match with BV7-32, BLab 7-2 with BV 7-40 (too wide), same for BV 7-4 with BV4 and now BL 10 with this new panel.

It would have been so easy to design a BeoLab 7-1 the same  width as their smallest TV, BV7-32, then make clip-on metal covers the same width as the other TVs, it would have cost far less to manufacture & would have avoided the customer to buy a new BeoLab 7 whenever they change their TV..soon B&O will have as many center loudspeakers as stereo loudspeakersUnsure

I've never liked the design idea of triangles hanging off of tv screens, but I have to say this looks quite good.

Sorry Mika, but I have to disagree with you on that one.
I think the speaker looks ridiculously tiny dangling off that screen!
By the way, you don't move it into your house, you buy the telly and build your house round it.

My pal has a 102" screen for his projector which seems about right - when you've finished it disappears to the ceiling and doesn't dominate the whole room. Surely the right way to go (unless you live in a palace)Big Smile

like the look of this-would be an alternative placement for the 50 and 65 as well as the beloab 7s size as wall placement is the only option

David Lewis, please go on a really long vacation and stop redesigning/resizing old designs !!! This one(another resized bv4 that's redesigned from the old 4...) runes the bl10(that was stolen from the av9000). It's just madness, and people should buy a beamer/barco if they want a home theater

Makes the BL5's look insignificant. B&O may need some BL1's back on steriods to balance that monster out.

Does this mean there is a 50" and 65" version on a floor stand with the Beolab 10 coming as well?  Does it have a Beosystem 3 built-in or just glued on the back of the screen?  More questions than answers to me.

thing is , it's only 1920 x 1080 res , so at 103" it probably looks pretty awful

Thats about 225 cm horizontally, or a little more than one millimeter per pixel, and the viewing distance for this should probably be more than 5 meters. Doesn't sound too bad to me - I've always wondered what the use of Full HD is at less than about 50" size anyway...

Why? Nothing (other than a computer) will output higher res than this. 1080p is as high as it goes at the moment, and it's not exactly common as-is.

Also, bear in mind this will be viewed from further away than a 65". Bear in mind that I'm still outstanded when I can stand a meter away from a 65" BV-4 with a BeoSystem 3 behind it and the picture is better than any of the other TVs I've seen (the Kuro included) when watching Sky HD. I've seen people swear they were watching an HD signal when in fact they were watching a standard definition DVD played through a BeoCenter 2. The BeoSystem 3 is an immensely powerful piece of kit and so far has produced a stunning picture on everything I've seen it powering.

The screen also judders like mad when playing blue ray. Saw this in operation and it was not good.

Quite why anyone would want it in prefernce to an HD projector I dont know!

Oh, I don't know 355f, perhaps the poor guy has a house or room in which it is doo difficult, or undesireable, to properly manage the ambient light levels to the extent needed for a projector/beamer.  For instance almost any waterfront property built in the last generation for instance.  Not that B&O's clients can afford that kind of home normallly.
