    White 8-32: getting dirty?

    Hi,

any owners of white 8-32 here?

I prefer the looks of white to the black one, but I'm worried about the chance of it getting really dirty-looking (white, "soft" material...) in time, especially since I have small kids. Any ideas?

     Thanks

Hello – I bought the BV8 32 (to replace my MX8000) about two weeks ago and I love it. I also have two young girls so I was a bit apprehensive about the white model. I like it because it is discreet – particularly against a white wall. Don't worry though – the material cleans up very easily if any marks get on it. Here is a pic of mine.

Nice one! May I ask what´s the sideboard - Vitsoe / sdr+ by Dieter Rams?

    Thanks, beoberlin

Yes, vitsoe – 606 system – Dieter Rams (one of my favourite designers).

I think B&O go quite well alongside this stuff.

Looks very cool! I can see your point about benefits of white color! Furthermore, I see you like scandinavian design in general (the glassware is finnish).

Glad to hear white BV8 is not too sensitive to greasy little hands (I also have two small daughters). BV8 would replace MX here as well!

Yes – I am a designer (and a collector). I am a big fan of many Scandinavian (particularly Danish) designers.

Poul Kjaerholm http://www.flickr.com/photos/9713498@N08/952519235/ (his chairs are at B&O in Struer), Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Eric Magnussen and David Lewis… yes, I know… he's a Brit :)

Check out my flickr site if you have a minute. Its mainly graphics but I have some product  design too.

    Very nice!

I checked your flickr site - very cool!

PK22 is my absolute favorite - they can be seen also in train stations around Copenhagen. Almost even more exclusive than B&O and certainly holds its value better. Now, a BV7 (aluminum) would go nicely together with Friz Hansen stuff, but "unfortunately" I have more furniture by Alvar Aalto (wooden) and Eames (white plastic) and my apartment is not that big. Thus, a white BV8 might be the best option designwise - that is until I have enough money to trade the Aalto to Friz Hansen (ok, I love Aalto as well).
