    Parts Needed for 70's B&O M70 speakers...

    Hi All,

    This is my first post.

I am looking for the  following parts for my B&O M70 speakers...

        two (2) woofers

        two (2) tweeters

        two (2) NON-dome midranges

Please e-mail me directly at rickat@com**st.net to let me know if you have these, and how much it would cost to purchase & ship to the U.S.

    Thank You!

    Rick Wroblewski

Blimey Rick, sorry to pour cold water on this request but you'll be very lucky to find anyone who has these, member Dillen (Martin) is likely to be your best bet. Sad

May I ask what the problem is with your original drivers? BTW - welcome to Beoworld.Smile

I agree.  I think the only way someone would have all those drivers is if some catastrophe destroyed their speaker cabinets and somehow left all the drivers intact.  You're likely better off just looking for another pair of speakers on ebay.

Re: Parts Needed for 70's B&O M70 speakers...

Beovox M70 is a wonderful speaker but a headache regarding parts.
Several changes of tweeters and woofers (and with them crossovers) in production has been noted.
Serial numbers has been noted both with 6 digits and 7 digits.

The dome-midrange is the same but there are no other common drivers to the M75, I'm afraid.

The woofer will have to be refoam'ed, depending on the exact type used in your speakers, you will have to measure the actual sizes to find surrounds suitable for the repair.

The "filler" (or cone midrange) is often looking as if it was cracked around the surround. Don't touch it, leave it as-is and it will play for many years to come.

The tweeter is either a SEAS H-086 or H-107 (which BTW is 6 ohms!).

I don't have a lot of M70 drivers, they are a pretty rare sight but
if you'll me know the serial number and/or types of drivers you need, I will
    take a look.

    Hello Dillen,

I would need a tweeter for my Beovox P30. It's named >>1" Dome Tweeter Type Dome H-086<<

    Can you help?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rick,

I can't help you with direct replacements for the drivers, and I really hope you can repair your existing woofers - refoaming is definitely the best option.

However...., if you cannot repair your woofers, I can highly recommend a suitably-sized substitute from Monacor in Germany. I recently had to replace a pair of S55 woofers, and Monacor came through with an EXCELLENT sounding pair of the correctly sized substitutes (which also handle more power than the original thin 55W RMS).

I'm not sure that Monacor has a suitable substitute, but that would be my first place to look.

    Best of luck.
