Hmm [^o)] Is it Possible for my MX 7000?

Hi Everyone, I’m new to this B&O Forum.

After 13 yrs, my lovely MX 7000 has finally transferred itself from a video device to a radio device Embarrassed.  In other words – No Picture.  I’m not planning to fix this TV but I have a plan in mind and hope you all can help.

I know the MX7000 uses the active speakers.  In this case, can I separate the active speakers from the TV tube and the other chassis?  I want to re-use the amplifier and speaker.

This is my plan. I will make myself a nice speaker box and put the amplifier and speaker in it.

Personally speaking, I think you would be better off getting a good pair of passive speakers ... whilst the 7000 performs well in terms of TV audio, in hifi audio terms it is mediocre at best.

Hi Timmy50 and welcome to beoworld.

Someone else has had a similar idea with an avant on this thread. This may give you an idea as to the viability of this idea.

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

Thank you for the reply. Is it possible to find a Block Diagram for Mx 7000?

    Timmy,

    A warm welcome to Beoworld,

There is a Service Manual on the Beoworld site with block diagrams, but you will need to upgrade your membership to Silver or Gold to download it.

    Regards Keith....
