    beomaster 5000

I apologise for asking such a daft question - but here goes.

After many months of searching I have finally purchased a beomaster 5000 amp/receiver and want advice on speaker connectors.

What are they, what is the polarity, where do you get them from?

I am desperate to get it working this weekend with my old B&O turntable.

Congratulations on your new Beomaster, and welcome to Beoworld!

Any decently equipped store that sells electronic components should have the connectors. Ask/search for "2-pin DIN plugs". The flat connector is negative, but the polarity doesn't actually matter as long as you connect both speakers the same way. And don't make a short circuit!

You do mean the 80s model? They are 2 pin DIN plugs. The pin is positive and the blade negative. I check on the model as the 60s Beomaster/Beolab 5000 has a somewhat complicated speaker set up.
