So a room full of badly designed software boxes, tastelessly coloured MP3 players, overheating games consoles and a massively expensive table to show off your Windows Media Player visualisations?

Well - Microsoft is doing some phenomenal work with interactive screens and screen walls - and that might be what they'll be pushing in their stores. Software/hardware solutions such as Seadragon, Photosynth and The World Wide Telescope are quite literally amazing.

But it would have to be something like that for me to even bother. And given the design know-how so expertly expressed with the Zune, I'm not holding my breath as to the aesthetics of the experience.
