    Beo4 serial number?

How do I tell the age of my Beo4 remote? We lost the receipt.

What buttons are in the top sector? The one I have in front of me (an oldish one!) has TV,Light.Radio, then Sat, DVD, CD and finally V.Tape, Record, A.Tape.

    What do yours have?

The serial number can be found on the sticker in the Beo 4's battery compartment. You can tell it's age by the first two numbers:

    • 11 - 1996
    • 12 - 1997
    • 13 - 1998/1999
    • 14 - 2000
    • 15 - 2001
    • 16 - 2002
    • 17 - 2003/2004
    • 18 - 2005
    • 19 - 2006
    • 20 - 2007

I remember there was a great photo of all three Beo4 versions next to each other on the old site. It would be great if you could put it on again.

Since that is what my new Beo4 has.

Hmm I thought 21 would be more likely... On the sticker are two numbers. The lower one is the serial number and I suspect the other one is the product number. Hope this helps...

Yes, something like that. The one I remember had the whole Beo4s on it, not just the top buttons, on a white background, but it doesn't really matter. Thanks Andy. We could put it on the Beo4 product page and write something like MKI, MKII,... underneath.

No, since neither number matched your list, I double-checked against an older Beo4 to verify which number was which... my top number is 8052757, the lower number is 0037xxxx (xxxx are actual numbers, but I don't like broadcasting my serial number... not that I can think of anyway that it would matter :)).

I would agree that this is odd.  Maybe 21 was already used by some other product?
