BeoCenter 2 in link room , help required with settings

Hi Guys maybe somebody could help me , here is my setup at the moment.

Main room (downstairs): Avant DVD  , Besound 9000 , 4 beolab 8000.s and subwoofer connected directly to the Avant ,

     Link room(upstairs) :Beovision 5 , registered as option 6

I have a virgin media STB connected the Avant to and registered under the Decoder scart (comes up STB(SAT))

Currently everything works fine in the link room , namely if i press dvd i get dvd  ,radio i get radio , cd i get cd and importantly if i press SAT i get the video and sound coming from the virgin media stb attached to the Avant in the main room. I can then control the channels via the stb controller.

I have recently acquired a BeoCenter 2 which to avoid the walk up and down the stairs (lazy i know) I would like to connect directly to the Beovision 5 so i can watch the DVDs playing on the Beocenter 2 , and importantly play audio cds and listen to the DAB radio through the Beovision 5 speakers.

Can somebody please help me with the option settings ?? , I will probably need a masterlink junction box ? so i can still play the audio and video sources from downstairs .

As i dont yet have a masterlink junction box I was playing around with setting it up directly into the Beovision 5 via masterlink and had problems getiing any sound for the DAB radio to come through the Beovision5  although i got the DVD player working (sound and vision).

    Any help much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Phil

I think this is tricky. I would think putting both into option 5 where each device react to its own IR codes should work however as you don't have external speakers connected to the BC2 this is a problem.

Putting the TV into option 6 and the BC2 into option 0 doesn't work either I think since you already have an audio master in your setup and I understand putting the BC2 into option 0 doesn't put it into slave mode which is what you need since there can only be one audio/video master in a ML setup.

I would probably just go off and get a second Sky box - i am a bit over my head with this though. Maybe someone else has an idea.

    Cheers
