Certainly achieved it's goal - makes me want the BeoVision 8 even more!

    Like the stand!

Saw the BV8 today. Rather better than I imagined (seems a common view!) The sound is rather good and the picture bright and detailed. The logo really does work! Don't like the floor stand but the table mount is rather natty! Came away with another Beocom 6000 - I wanted one to take an earset though that doesn't arrive till next week! Also picked up the STB-C for the AV9000 and an AV2 expander which the technical chap says will probably not work! Laughing

    Re: BV8 video

    When there's a will, there's a way!

Been trying to persuade my parents that they want to buy BeoCom 6000s. We've been through about 8 phones in the last few years, each of which cost a good £60! Insane!

I quite like the floor stand actually, although it did look a bit unfinished when I first viewed it. Kinda grew on me the longer I saw it though. The table stand is very nifty though, as you say!

The Beocom 6000 is quite frankly brilliant. It may not have some features that some DECT phones now have, but as a cordless phone system, it does everything I want. The headset will mean I can type as I talk, which can be useful! I now have 4 Beocom 6000s and one Beocom 2. Have also bought 6000s as wedding presents a couple of times - what better way to introduce someone to B&O!

    Re: BV8 video

Exactly, they really allow you to get an idea of what B&O is like without going ahead and buying a BeoVision or BeoSound...

That was a cuul video. Thanks for the link Peter.

I like BeoCom 6000 too, but prefer my BeoCom 2s and 4s!

When are B&O going to replace the BeoTalk 1200? It's majorly overdue and in great need for us atleast.

    Re: BV8 video

That videofurniture sure does fit the TV nicely.

But how come the BV8 isn't on the B&O site?? I saw it at my dealers ages ago.
I wanted to check out the connections, I didn't think it would have the possibility to connect powerlink/masterlink??

    Toubro,

I know it certainly has an optional Masterlink if you require it. However, I'm uncertain about the Powerlink, I'll find out for you tomorrow if you're interested.

The Masterlink won't be available until July, and will be priced around £200 - £240 in the UK.

100% agree with Peter about Beocom 6000 - its also amazingly child resistant.

BeoVision 8 is a future classic, imo.  The picture is great, and the sound from this design / price point very impressive.

Okay, thanks. No need to look into it as I'm not on the lookout for anything new, I just didn't expect it to be a feature in this "cheap" tv set.

    Re: BV8 video

i have seen these videos before. I think the BV8 video was on the old site, as well as the Victoria video. I prefer the BV8 video. It puts the TV into the right light.

BV8 sure is different and I hope it is going to be at least as successfull as the MX series, but I still would prefer the BC6 which has much more style and a better picture IMO.

    Re: BV8 video

Saw the BV8 yesterday by 'accident' on the B&O site ... not sure how long it had been there ... so I wandered into the Grey Street to take a look.

I too was impressed by it ... lifted it and it is easily manouverable ... and best yet: it is TACTILE ... it has a 'rubbery' finish to it that felt neat

If they had had the optional system module (powerlink, masterlink, VGA port, etc ... all the things I want) available ('end of the month' they said) then I probably would have snapped it up !

And I love the look of the stand in the video at around the one minute mark ... is that going to be a real piece of furniture ?

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Hi Edward.

Yes, the furniture would appear to be part of the range and is designed for the HDR2 and DVD2 - if that materialises!

Are you going to the champagne tasting on Thursday?

Bet the Beckham's B&O dealer is a happy guy. But that video is just the laughing stock.
