    beolab 5 sub

Why is it not possible to make  subwoofer changes in a 5.1 set-up for the beolab 5

I've been told that it only can be done when you connect a beolab 2 subwoofer.

I think that's very strange.....no adjustments in sound for a sub

    Re: beolab 5 sub

As far as the BeoSystem/BeoVision setup is concerned, the BeoLab 5s are just another pair of speakers, except they can go much deeper than other speakers. There is no 'subwoofer' when using a pair of BeoLab 5s...

    Re: beolab 5 sub

Alex, I think the question was if it is possible to change the level of the LFE channel even when it is mixed to the front channels in a Lab5 setup. At least from my point of view a possible adjustment would be nice. However, in my setup it works perfectly, which suprises me every time.....

    Re: beolab 5 sub

I don't think there is a way of doing this sadly. The 'bass' control may help things a little though...

The 'bass' control also reduce the bass from the rear speakers.

A little crude, but you could always just set the position switches in the rear speakers to 'free'. This should boost the bass - assuming you haven't done this already...

    beolab 6 & 8000 don't have switches Alex

    But that's not the point.

On every subwoofer you can make LFE adjustments,I think it's a design fault!

    Re: beolab 5 sub

As mentioned before, it would be nice to adjust the LFE level, but did not miss this possibility with my Lab5 so far.
