Re: Something about the PRIZE DRAW

I think the rules are fine as they are. Every member has the same chance to win something every month, and that is exactly the way it should be, but unfortunately, some members have more luck than others. But I don't care, because in luxemburgish (and german), there is a proverb saying "Bad luck in games; good luck in love" (I'm sure there something similar in english)

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. - Berthold Auerbach

False - Personal friends of the moderators win prizes regularly..... This is a site with members from around the world. Most of the moderating team are based in Europe - look at tonight's draw results - I'm positive that none of the moderators have met any of the US winners - infact, I'm pretty sure that they haven't met most of the Europe-based winners, either!

anyone in the usa up for a gathering?

    A14BEO:

All in all, I can't find any other competition on offer which offers such high value prizes for such a small initial investment - and 12 times a year!

    ditto! good grief!

my heartfelt thx to all and everyone that is beoworld!

Lee is in Las Vegas as I type this, and if anyone is on the route between Vegas and L.A., he'll be passing within the next few weeks! Cool

As for Flappo's point - I echo that. Hugely disappointed in someone whom I considered to be a good friend. Sad

    Muchos Gracias Cool

Let me assure that doubting member/non member that even though as Technical advisor I am part of the moderating team, I have never met Lee, Peter or any other member of the management/moderating team of BeoWorld.

I have won a prize in the prize draw but my son Brett (beo4life) has not. If nepotism was rife in the organisation then surely I would have arranged for Brett to win by now!!!

We have both re-newed our gold membership and are very happy with the prize draw and it's conditions, the moderating team and my/our relationship with the membership of BeoWorld in general.

    Regards Graham

Well said Graham and a perfect example. For some reason I was thinking about this post earlier today and going back to the OP's claim about not winning yet. Even if there had not been any double winners, that would make 120 winners over 12 months. Well we have over 500 gold members so the odds are you still would not have won.

Re: Something about the PRIZE DRAW

I prefer this site because of the thoughts, the style, and let's me say it, some kind of a lifestyle - and I'am trying to study it.

Therefore I think, this is the topic, which is truly not a beostyle thinking. This kind of a dishonest is shocking me here.

The prizedraw is a surplus, a bonus, and not in any aspect a guaranteed refund game. It was never mentioned in any other way.

I think, the only thing We can say about it, is a very big THANKS and nothing else.

There is a comedy show here in Hungary, where a famous hungarian actor used to say the following in this kind of cases:

I am asking You for forgiveness...

    and thanks again.

...and again in each month Wink
