    BeoLab 8000+6000 isn't loud enough? Do I need a BeoLab2?

I know, the answer is the BeoLab 5 or 9, but I have a pair of BeoLab 8000 and two pairs of BeoLab 6000, masterlinked via my ouverture to the Avant (nice speakers!).

I cant help noticing that yes, its quality that we get but if we want to turn them really up, then we probably need a BeoLab 2, am I right? If I get one, will the other BeoLab8k/6k speakers dedicate more power to the higher-frequency parts of a song? Or will the Subwoofer overwhelm the speakers?

I must admit, in reality, the speakers are loud enough and I dont usually turn them up too much at home anyway, but out of curiocity, for those loud days, will a BeoLab2 really make a difference?

I'm no expert, but I had a pair of BL6000 in front, BL 4000 in the rear, connected to an Avant and a Beosound 2300. The BL 6000 are great, but you miss some bass.

I connected a subwoofer (not BL2, a KEF subwoofer), and the sound got more complete. You can of course adjust the volume individually pr speaker.

But, from my experience, you can't play any louder than before.

    Thanks Thavn,

It makes sense I guess... so its the BeoLab 5/9 i guess if you want to start a sound war?

    Thanks.

Basically yes. You may get a *little* bit more volume out of it (although obviously a lot more bass) with a BeoLab 2, but you will still find the amount of power available in the upper frequencies is lacking, especially with the BeoLab 6000s.

If volume is what you want, look for a pair of BeoLab 5s, BeoLab 9s or Pentas.

Velodyne subwoofers have room correctie!  don't go for the beolab2 it's not a good sub for music

I changed to a pair of BL5 in january this year. They are great, and you can play very loud, always with a crystal clear sound. But nevertheless I was very satisfied with my BL6000. They sound and look great!
