We all discuss the difference between speakers but............................

There have been numerous posts talking about the difference between different speakers in the range. Which sound better than others, but I cannot remeber a thread where members have discussed the sound difference of different B&O TV's. Myself I have no external speakers connected to my setup of a BS3000 and BV3-32. Wonderd if any other members did the same, or their thoughts on different models sound capabilities.

Re: We all discuss the difference between speakers but............................

I prefer LX to MX sound wise.

They are the only TVs I know enough about to make a comparison.

I think that the speakers in my LX 6000 performs just as good as any normal stereo like Sony, when it comes to sound reproduction.

For about 6 months I played my 5500 system through my Avant and was not dissapointed... not the same bass as my M100's but still plenty of ooompf. I wonder if B&O should add that to their listLaughing

in the last couple of years ive owned a few tvs as ive slowly been able to afford the next model up,

i had the mx4000 with some cx100s which was at the time better than any hi-fi id ever owned,

i cant remember the mx5000 so im guessing was nothing new by then,

the mx7000 actice speakers blew me away and to this day i wish id kept it

av9000 pretty useless without extra speakers

i currently have the bv3 32 and the rf avant 32, worth every penny for sound alone, for the money a better buy than most speakers as your getting fantastic picture to match,

My MX7000 sounds a lot better than the MX5500, presumably because of the Active speakers. I've got a Beolab 3500 in the same room as the 7000, and the TV sounds a lot better than the link speaker, it has a better low frequency response. I used to have an LX2800, and guests were often surprised at the quality (and level) of sound that produced.

Re: We all discuss the difference between speakers but............................

I use my BV3-32 as center speaker  with 4 BL3 and a BL2, not was I have planed as I returned my old Bv7-32 a year ago (did not work as expected).

But I have to say not to bad! I am impressed again and again by the sound performance of the Bv3. When I checked out the BS3 at home, I connected a BL7.4 an a BL3 as center instead, this added much more clearity to the sound.

What did the loudspeaker guy in Struer  said? B&O builds loudspeaker with a display attachedCool

i have a BV7-32 with BL7.1. Huge sound. Was really impressive at the beginning and used it a lot as only speaker, even for music. I think there is no better sound to a tv than with BL7

My fist B&O TV was a LX2802 and I thought it must be the best sounding TV set ever produced and no other set in the world could sound better - hmmmm now I have three sets with better sound (in this order): BV1, AV5, BV7 with BL7.1.
The BL7.1 is really a great speaker, and if the soundstage would be a bit wider, it would be perfect for music.

Does an Avant sound better than a MX 7000 ?

I'm waiting for delivery of the Avant and i'm curious if the sound is very different from my MX 7000.

My living-room is quite a large open space and, even after all those years, i'm impressed by

the warm and powerfull sound of the MX 7000

that's right. I thought about cutting mine into 2, but my wife would not let me do it...
