    HDR1 with Avant VCR?

    Hi,

    I have a 2004 Avant RF VCR and since it has a VCR, the DVD2 is not compatible. I was wondering if the HDR1 or HDR2 for that matter will have limited functionality because of my Avant?

    If I remember corretcly when the HDR1 was released it would not work with an Avant VCR. Not sure if there was a SW update to sort out this problem.

    Has anyone gone into the service menu & changed the chassis to no VCR & then tried a HDR1 or HDR2 etc

    Just a thought

    Hi,

    I use my Avant VCR together with the DVD2, the DVD2 is compatible. You have to config the DVD2 as VTAPE 2 in the setup-menue of the Avant, not as VTAPE or DVD! So you can still use the internal VCR (VTAPE-key on Beo4) and also the DVD2, no problem at all.
