You can record a programme when watching something else but there is only one digital tuner so you cannot watch a different digital channel when recording another. I think this is quite a disadvantage and this is one that Sky+ avoids as it has two digital tuners.

In my case i can watch a program on my BV7-40 and record another program on my HDR2, but i need two seperate tuners. One on the TV and one directly on the HDR2. My TV manage this.

I take it that you are using the analogue channels then? That is certainly possible but for most people in a few years, they will need to use digital channels. The HDR2 can use the digital tuner in the TV or STB but doesn't have one of its own. I would imagine the 'HDR3' will have twin digital tuners which would allow most of the Beovision range to operate sensibly.

Analogue is over. Only the cable operators offer it in THe Netherlands. It is high time B&O upgrades it's products to the demands of this time.
