    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

    Hmmn ???

    It is a bit strange!

The Powerlink on the Converter is a input to be connected to Powerlink (out) from an audio system (in Option 0) ?

Wonder what it is doing ???

    Anybody with a diagram ?

    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

A Powerlink-cable is used when there are no speakers connected the the Audiomaster.

    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

The Pwerlink socket on the converter is an input and is ONLY used/necessary if no speakers are to be connected to the audio system.

So, in such a situation the Powerlink on the audio system is connected to the Powerlink socket on the converter

    Regards Keith....

    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

The question remains about the function of the powerlink input (converter)

As the audio master is in option 0 - then it will not put any sound on the powerlink ????

    ??????

    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

Option 0 means that the component will not respond to infrared commands,
doesn't mean audio is cut out.

    Re: Beolink Converter 1611 Question

It's for the control of the volume if your Beomaster is in option 0 and the video in option 2.

Pin 4 (speaker on) and pin 7 (datalink) of the Powerlink are used.

It will switch on the speakers when you switch on your Beomaster with a button on the Beomaster and not with the remote.

And you will be able to control the volume and mute the speakers if your beomaster has a volume control and/or a mute button
