is it worth buying HD Ready Kit for BV7-32 ?

i have a BV7-32  mk1 upgraded with a newer panel and SW6.4 . recently , the so-called HD TV broadcast started here , my dealer recommended me to buy a HD Ready Kit , what is it ? he said it will upgrade the tv to accept 1080I signal . it's about 400 euro . is it worth ? will the upgrade fix the digital sound problem with BV7 ? please advise .

    regards

    Hi David,

I'm in the same situation. Next sunday I will ask my dealer to quote me. I'm in for a new BV7-32".

Hope this will be not too expensive. I can trade in a BV7-32" dec.2004 model.

If my piggybank is not loaded enough, I will considder the HD ready kit.

If I was to advise anyone on a B&O TV, I'd recommend a pre-loved 2007 model BV7-32. Superb picture, decent with both SD and HD, good audio via the 7.1, but also a fairly reasonable price point of around £4500 or so.

I have a MKII BV7-32 and am going to upgrade it. My dealer told me the difference is quite easily noticable. As I am not really happy with the gosting-effect when watching DVD, I hope this is going to disappear, as there is no way to get a new set right now.

    hi coolskin ,

when i buy this mk1 bv7-32 , it was about 85000 hk dollars (8500euro) . due to the sky high euro , the price now is about 20 % higher , maybe more . i don't think i can trade in with a good price for a not very updated bv7 . would you let me know how much will be the trade in offer . no exact figure , just concept . just 50% of original or.......

I own a BV 7 32 since december 2007, so the latest version. It had some pictureproblems, but after the dealer recently changed two IC's and the software was flashed all problems are gone and the picture is superb. I can recommend the HD-Ready BV 7 32.
