    Beolab 2500 adjust

I have a couple of Beolab 2500 and they sound different. One of them has more bass and more treble.

I had to open one of them to solve a problem and saw there are a couple of adjustable resistors that modify the bass and treble.

Anyone knows the procedure to adjust them to get from both speakers around the same sound.

    Thanks in advance.

It requires the use of audio signal generator and DVM. Unless you have these together with access to the service manual the adjustments are best left to a service tech. Should not take more than 1 hour and you will need to take both speakers.

    Regards Graham

    Hi Graham,

I have a DVM and a tone generator software for PC. I don't have the service manual but someone sells at ebay a CD with plenty of them, so I will buy it to try.

    Regards

If it is the usual 128 manuals on a CD ROM then don't bother. It is not on there, it is mostly the older stuff.

That is the item I was talking about:

    http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&viewitem=&item=180223805731&rd=1

Do you think it's worth 32 USD?

Is there a way to get access to the service manual of the beolab 2500?

In that case I would buy it. What I was refering to was a different CD ROM.

    Thanks for the advice Craig.

I have just bought it. If the process is explained in that CD I will post it.

If you could send a copy to Peter he can put it in the Manuals section of the site.
