    BeoSound 9000 Problem

Hi, I have a BeoSound 9000 where the head doesn't move. If I manually open the door and move the head to the center, turn on the unit, the door will close and the head will move to the left, BUT nothing else after that.. The unit gets a LOCKED message on the display if I try anything. The unit manual doesn't show this error, and Bang & Olufsen seems to be (IS) a useless company for support. They just want you to buy more stuff. I found is a local repair guy who sounds like a typical BSer. He said it must be the door motor, when that seems to work fine. ANY ADVICE ? ? ? ? from memory - i think you may have tried the PIN too many times in too short of space of time. I suggest you disconnect from mains for min 3hrs.

Then retry pin, it may let you in - otherwise you may require a mastercode from your dealer to unlock the unit.

    Dont play with the clamper.

In the service manual you have a test mode with error codes. You can try it and know what is happening.

Don't disconnect it, it can't count down with no power 3-5 hSmile

Suggest you upgrade your membership to silver or gold and download the service manual where you will find extensive testing facilities which will help diagnosis.
