How do we get notified prior to membership expiring?

I had my reminder and rejoined a few weeks ago. I tend to pay straight away as I am easily distracted and probably wouldn't get around to it otherwise!

Just to make everyone clear (Lee you can pin the following membership renewal/upgrade information)

RENEWAL PROCESS:

• If you are a silver or gold member you will automatically be sent an email reminder 4 weeks prior to your membership expiring
• You can renew your membership at anytime in the four weeks (Renewal is from the date of expiry to 1 year hence, not from the date that the renewal is processed which will mean you get a full years membership)
• Renewals can only be actioned during the last four weeks of membership (for the following year). Before this time, the only change a member can make is to upgrade
• If a member doesn't renew their membership their account will automatically be downgraded to a bronze account which can be upgraded again should they wish (founder members will lose their founder status if the membership lapses and this cannot be reinstated)
  

FURTHER INFORMATION

• A member cannot upgrade in the last month, but they can renew as the higher level and receive the benefits immediately
• Gold members can renew as silver for the following year should they wish
• Should a member choose to upgrade from silver to gold during the standard membership period is charged at the difference between the two rates, pro-rata to the remaining time of their membership (this means the best value of money for members)

I joined fairly early as well, haven't received a renewal notice yet which prompted this thread.

Beoaus you joined on 17th April so you will get an email reminder soon. 

Puncher just to let you know that you joined on March 27th. There were a select few members who registered prior to the official April 16th launch date.

You can check to see when you joined by either looking below your avatar on the left or clicking your name in the top right of the screen and selecting "Password & Statistics"

Note to Van, Lee or Mods:

I tried to renew my membership earlier tonight but the system won't accept my username as being valid. Presumably this is because it contains spaces. There is nowhere to type in a new username so could you please arrange to have my membership renewed and bill my card accordingly. I will renew with Gold membership again to support the site. Thanks.
