    Is there anyway to turn off the backlight on the Bs3200?

    That question is new to me.

    I could say by turning of the unit. But I guess that's not the answer you're looking for.

    Breaking it.

    i hit it a few times with a hammer and the light went off!

    you guys are great and know everything.....

     

     

    now how do I turn it back on?

    OK, well I am going to assume that you meant to ask if the backlight can be turned off while the 3200 is in use...in which case the answer would be 'No, not without using a hammer."  If your 3200 has its backlight on while it is in standby then you do, indeed have a service issue...or a very rare 'land of the midnight sun' edition.
